Products

Cheese, sobrasada, honey, wine, gin and more

Most come from Menorca or the Balearic Islands. We apply the km0 principle: we look for what the island produces first, and only look elsewhere when it doesn't exist here. For local products we always indicate the origin.
Yes. The cheese we sell is under the Mahón-Menorca Protected Designation of Origin (PDO), which guarantees it is made on the island with Menorcan cow's milk following the traditional process. It is one of the oldest PDO cheeses in Spain.
Yes, and it's free. We vacuum-pack cheese, sobrasada and cured meats at the time of purchase. Just ask in the shop. Vacuum packing significantly extends shelf life and makes transporting much easier.
It depends on the product. Vacuum-packed cheese in the fridge keeps for weeks without any problem. Same goes for sobrasada. Wines and gin have no real expiry. Honey keeps practically indefinitely. Ask us in the shop about any specific product.
Many of our products are naturally gluten-free (cheese, sobrasada, honey, wine, gin). For any specific intolerance or allergy, ask in the shop and we will guide you through the available labelling information product by product.
Yes. Some local products have a defined season and may not be available all year round. We follow the island's natural rhythms. If you're looking for something specific out of season, write to us and we'll tell you when it's back.

Shops

Opening hours, locations and how we work

We have three shops in Menorca: Port de Mahón (Moll de Llevant, 302), Mahón Centre (Carrer de Bonaire, 7) and Sant Climent (Plaça Sant Climent, 8).
Port de Mahón: every day 8:30–22:00. Mahón Centre: Monday to Saturday 9:30–21:00, closed Sunday. Sant Climent: 9:30–15:30 and 17:00–23:00, closed Tuesday. Hours may vary on public holidays.
There is a common selection across all of them, but each shop has its own range adapted to its location. The harbour shop has more variety of products to take home; the town centre and Sant Climent have more of a neighbourhood and local produce feel.
At the harbour there is parking along the promenade, though in high season it can be full. For Mahón Centre we recommend the Es Cos car park or coming on foot. Sant Climent has a square with parking practically at the door.
Generally yes, especially Port de Mahón which opens every day. For specific public holidays, check our Instagram or message us on WhatsApp.

Gourmet baskets

Personalisation, prices and collection

Yes, it's one of our most popular services. Message us on WhatsApp with your budget and preferences and we'll have the basket ready to collect the same day at whichever shop suits you best.
Baskets are adapted to whatever budget you tell us. There is no fixed price: from a small gesture basket to a generous selection. Tell us how much you want to spend and we'll put it together.
For a standard basket, a few hours' notice is enough. For large or very personalised orders, it's better to give us a day's notice. In high season we recommend getting in touch well in advance.
Yes. For corporate orders, email us at admin@saturadeta.com with the details and we'll give you a quote. We do this regularly for events, corporate gifts and groups.
Yes, baskets are put together nicely and ready to give as a gift. If you'd like to include a card or have any packaging preferences, let us know when you order.

Travelling with products

What you can take on the plane and how

Yes, no problem. Vacuum-packed cheese can go in the cabin with no restrictions. It is not subject to the liquids rule because it is solid. We recommend having it vacuum-packed in the shop.
Vacuum-packed sobrasada can also go in the cabin without any problem. As a cured meat product it has no restriction on flights within the EU. For international flights outside the EU it's worth checking beforehand.
Liquids can only go in the cabin if they are under 100 ml per container. A bottle of wine or gin must go in checked luggage. Large jars of honey must also go in checked luggage. Small jars under 100 ml can go in the cabin.
For checked luggage, wrap bottles in clothing or use bubble wrap. Vacuum packing for cheese and sobrasada is already the best protection. In the shop we can advise on the best packaging for each product.

Payment & prices

Payment methods and pricing policy

We accept cash and card in all shops. Contactless payment and mobile payment (Apple Pay, Google Pay) are also accepted.
Yes, prices are the same regardless of which shop you visit.
For large orders (corporate baskets, events) we can put together a bespoke quote. Email us with the details and we'll get back to you.
Yes. If you need an invoice, ask at the time of purchase or email us with your billing details.

Shipping

Availability and alternatives

We do not currently offer online shipping. We are physical shops. If you want to take something home but can't come in person, order via WhatsApp and collect it in the shop during your visit to the island.
Yes. Message us on WhatsApp before your visit, tell us what you'd like and we'll have it ready when you arrive. Especially useful for gourmet baskets or specific products.
