Menorca olive oil has a character all its own

Olive growing in Menorca has a long history and a uniquely Atlantic character. The island's estates produce extra virgin olive oils from native varieties, with a herbaceous profile and gentle bitterness that sets them apart from any other Mediterranean oil. At s'Aturadeta we work with the three finest producers on the island.

Three estates, three oils

Son Felip olive oil from Menorca at s'Aturadeta

Son Felip

Menorca · Extra virgin olive oil

Son Felip is one of the longest-established olive-growing estates in Menorca. Its oils stand out for an intensely fruity profile, with notes of fresh grass and a gently peppery finish — an unmistakable sign of olives harvested at their optimal moment. An island oil with real character.

Morvedra Nou

Menorca · Extra virgin olive oil

Morvedra Nou combines Menorca's olive-growing tradition with an artisan approach that shows clearly in the result. A balanced oil with sweet and herbaceous notes, equally good drizzled raw — over salads or bread — or used in cooking.

Solivaret

Menorca · Extra virgin olive oil

Solivaret crafts its oil with a dedication that translates into a premium product. Some of its olive trees are centuries old, yielding a complex oil with a pronounced Atlantic personality shaped by the island's microclimate and a silky texture that makes it instantly recognisable.

The most authentic gourmet gift from Menorca

A locally produced Menorcan olive oil is perhaps the hardest gastronomic gift to find outside the island. It is not on supermarket shelves on the mainland. It is not distributed at scale. It is produced in small quantities, with care, and at s'Aturadeta we have it available in store.

Perfect to include in a gourmet basket alongside cheese, sobrasada and Fornells salt. Or on its own, as a gift that speaks for itself.

Frequently asked questions about Menorca olive oil

At s'Aturadeta we stock extra virgin olive oil from the three finest estates on the island — Son Felip, Morvedra Nou and Solivaret — at our shops in Port de Mahón (Moll de Llevant 302), Mahón Centre (Carrer de Bonaire 7) and Sant Climent (Plaça Sant Climent 8).

Each estate has its own character. Son Felip stands out for its fruity intensity, Morvedra Nou for its balance and sweet notes, and Solivaret for its complexity and silky texture. Ask us in store and we will help you choose according to your taste.

Olive oil is a liquid, so bottles over 100 ml must go in checked luggage. Menorcan olive oil bottles are usually 250 ml or more, so we recommend packing them in checked baggage, well protected.

It is one of the most special gastronomic gifts you can bring back from Menorca, precisely because it is not distributed outside the island. You can only find it here. Combine it with cheese, sobrasada and Fornells salt in a personalised gourmet basket — just message us on WhatsApp.
